Election 2025 Kickoff

Happy Sunday!

With the filing period for elected office now closed, the declared list of candidates has been finalized. This year, both familiar faces and newcomers to the Town Council race have entered and come Election Day, November 4, 2025, it would be an honor and a privilege to represent our community on this board with your vote.

My Unique Qualifications

Among the declared candidates for Winterville Town Council, I am the sole registered Republican. At the age of 36, I am the youngest candidate. As a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, I served in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2011. My local government budget and finance experience encompasses both municipal and county levels of government, providing me with a comprehensive understanding of local government operations.

My Vision for Winterville

My vision for Winterville is to foster continued growth not only in terms of population but also in the quality of our community. This encompasses investing in our infrastructure to meet the present and future needs of our residents, including our water, sewer, and electrical systems.

Furthermore, I am committed to providing our police, fire, and EMS workers with the most advanced tools and equipment to ensure their safety in their line of duty. Unfortunately, we have witnessed numerous instances of injuries and worse to our first responders. I am determined to mitigate these risks whenever possible.

Additionally, I propose that the Town explore federal funding opportunities through grants and supplement them with Town funds to invest in parks, multi-use paths, and other outdoor recreational facilities.

Lastly, I advocate for increased fiscal transparency with citizens. This includes proactively making budgetary information available on the Town website and other platforms, enabling citizens to participate in public hearings with comprehensive and up-to-date information.
