Local Government
Town of Winterville
In June 2023 I was appointed to the Town Board of Adjustment where we hear and decide appeals concerning zoning issues, applications for special use permits, and requests for variances.
Pitt County Government
My first role in local government came in 2021 with Pitt County Emergency Management as a 911 Telecommunicator. In this role I received and dispatched calls, having a direct impact on Pitt County citizens by providing a critical link with emergency resources. In 2022, I took 7,592 calls, the most of any Pitt County telecommunicator for the year; In December 2022 I was awarded Pitt County Employee of the Month.
In January 2023 I was blessed with an opportunity with Pitt County Financial Services as a Budget & Grants Analyst. For nearly two years, until December 2024 I worked directly as a contributor with the planning and execution of the Pitt County Annual Operating Budget gaining valuable insight into the financial operations of local government.
City of Greenville
In December 2024 I continued my career in local government, taking a role as Financial Analyst for the City of Greenville. Building on my experience with Pitt County, I continue to work closely with the Annual Operating Budget as well as other projects including developing a performance management solution for the City, combining information from various sources to maximize efficiencies and achieve positive outcomes.
United States Marine Corps
During my childhood I tried many different organizations and sports, but none was more lasting or had a greater influence on the eventual trajectory of my life than the Young Marines…
Parris Island & Training
In February 2009 I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and reported for Boot Camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, where after 13 weeks of training, young men and women go to become basically trained Marines. For those who are familiar with the island, I was assigned to Platoon 3038, Mike Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion (3rd RTB), before it was moved and was closer to the rifle range. IYKYK.
Following boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, I was assigned the School of Infantry- Infantry Training Battalion onboard Camp Geiger in North Carolina where I received the MOS of 0311, Infantryman. In September 2009, I reported to Camp Pendleton, California for follow-on training where I was ultimately designated the MOS of 0313, Light Armored Vehicle Crewman.
Camp Lejeune & Afghanistan
In November 2009, I reported to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina where I was assigned to Bravo Company, 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion. Between May & November of 2011, I deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. During my five year enlistment (2009-2014), I participated in many training events and exercises across the country including Integrated Training Exercises at Marine Corps Base 29 Palms, California & Mountain Exercise at Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport, California, amongst other training evolutions.

I was Honorably Discharged from the United States Marine Corps in February, 2014 as a Corporal and my awards include: Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal (with two stars), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, NATO Medal-ISAF Afghanistan, Rifle Qualification Badge, & Pistol Qualification Badge.
